Stunning Summertime Italy Wedding.
I had the absolute pleasure to work with GORGEOUS bride Elle on her UK wedding in her home town Bath and ALSO her dazzling DESTINATION WEDDING in the paradise that is Puglia, Italy.
The sky was clear and blue when I arrived to the ROMANTIC Masseria Potenti on Elle and Tom’s wedding morning. I have to say the venue was absolutely breathtaking.
The following quote is what greets you on their website and I totally agree this place brings great pleasure to ones life!
“The courage of following a dream, the constant love given to keep it alive,
the enthusiasm brought by seeing it come true, the pleasure of life,
but instead exalting them in every possible way” Paolo e Maria Grazia
Take a look below at the fantastic photos by LATO Photography and you’ll see what I mean.
Lovely Elle and her 4 bridesmaids and mother of the bride were a pleasure to work with. They were so relaxed and it sounded like they had an idyllic run up to the big day, pool parties, yoga, sun and relaxation. With all your best buddies around you and loved ones there truly is something magical about a destination wedding and holiday rolled into one.
For Elle’s hair she chose a plaited updo which was definitely the right choice and suited her petite frame and pixi-esque face beautifully. The sweetheart neckline and bare shoulders looked stunning with the veil and having an updo in the 35 degrees heat was a winner. It even stayed in a until the early hours and next morning when I said my farewells. There was a gorgeous warm breeze that afternoon and evening (much needed) so having an up do versus a down do meant there were no ‘hair-in-face’ scenarios caught on camera. Phew!
Makeup for Elle, was a high coverage velvety effect base with beautiful natural highlight and bronzer to enhance the Italy glow Elle had caught. The Anastasia Beverley Hills Soft Glam eye shadow palette has the perfect gold and brown shades to enhance Elle’s bright blue eyes. A smattering of fluttery cluster lashes and liner created the perfect look. Lips were kept neutral with a peachy/pinky lip gloss over a liner.
I used plenty of setting spray and a primer after skin prep to keep makeup locked in. The setting spray is a must have for sure especially in the heat. Not only does it have a cooling effect but really does help makeup lasting power.
You can see below with the final images Elle’s equally as wonderful bridesmaids and also a photo of pure fun and joy from the delightful couple Elle + Tom, dancing the night away. Elle still looking pretty fresh to me!
To conclude, if you are able to have a destination wedding then Masseria Potenti is definitely worth a look at. The food was devine, there is a refreshing pool area, the rooms are soooooo beautiful and full of authentic whitewashed walls, wood work and tiles. It is breathtaking. I am so grateful to have been asked by Elle and trusted to work with her on her bridal hair and makeup. So, BIG THANKS ELLE!
Ciao for now!
Much love and thanks for reading,
Jen x
